While pursuing various income opportunities we came upon the alpaca lifestyle. It was a perfect fit! We have been able to combine our love of the outdoors and country living into a life style that supplements our income as well as take advantage of the skills we use daily as educators. We remember the day we brought our 1st two females home...what an exciting and scary day! On that day in 2003, Salmon River Alpacas was created and continues to grow as a family farm. We have established a caring environment in which herd maintenance, breeding decisions, and daily personal contact with each animal have proven to be successful . We take pride in our venture and continue to work towards offering alpacas of distinction.
